Various awareness programs and rallies organised by Border Security Force on International Day against Drug Abuse


Tirthankar Mukharjee, Kolkata : The Border Security Force is always committed to prevent smuggling of various types of narcotics across the border, besides making its jawans and border residents aware from time to time about the non-consumption of drugs as a prime duty. In this regard, all the personnel of the Border Security Force under the Frontier Headquarters South Bengal organized special programs against Drug abuse and illegal smuggling in the Battalion Headquarters and all the Border Out Post on the occasion of International Drug Abuse Day.

On this occasion, Border Security Force took out awareness rallies against International Drug Abuse Day at various places with posters and banners. Along with this, the people living in the border area were made aware about the far reaching adverse consequences on social, economic and family life because of drug addiction through awareness programmes. Officers of BSF asked their troops and common citizens to stay away from drug addiction and give up consumption drugs in any form. Apart from this, the people of the Border were also motivated to cooperate with the Border Security Force in preventing the smuggling of narcotics across the border.

The South Bengal Frontier of the BSF released a statement that the Border Security Force has been fully aware of all kinds of damages which can be aused by drugs to its jawans and the people living near the place of deployment in your area. Even today, in view of all necessary precautions due to Corona 19, awareness programs about drug abuse and illegal smuggling have been organized. Simultaneously, the Frontier Headquarters also assured that BSF has always been a leader in such activities and such programs will continue to be organized in future also.
