Due to owing to debt from relatives and friends,Bangladeshi family apprehended while escaping from Bangladesh upon illegally entering into India.


Tirthankar Mukharjee, Kolkata : In the incident, border deployed troops of Border Out Post, Jeetpur of 99 Batallion BSF apprehended three people of the same family while entering India illegally crossing the International Boundary.

Apprehnded persons are residents of Village- Tutha Mandara, District- Gopalganj, Bangladesh. They are identified as Manik Mandal (age- 32 years), S/o- Late Kali Pada Mandal with his wife Priya Mandal (age- 25 years) and daughter Manushka Mandal (age- 05 years).

Manik Mandal revealed in enquiry that he had taken loan from many people to open a clothes shop. But due to loss in the shop, he could not repay his loan. Unable to repay the loan, he planned to come to India with his family. As per him, his life was in dangered if he would have not come to India with his family.

He further revealed that he was coming to India with his family to live forever in village- Muragachha under PS- Hanskhali, District- Nadia district, India. To cross the International Boundary, he took help of Bangladeshi tout Litton and Indian tout Asudul Mandal (Kalu) of village Madhupur and for this he had also given Rs. 22000/- to Litton.

Apprehnded persons have been handed over to Police Station Bagdah for further legal action.

Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, Commanding Officer of 99 Battalion BSF said that the Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

Out of which some people and touts are being caught and are being punished according to the law. The officer said in clear words that he will not allow infiltration from his area under any circumstances.
