BSF RESCUED PEGEONS FROM THE CLUTCHES OF SMUGGLERS ON INDO-BANGLADESH BORDER

Tirthankar Mukharjee : North 24 Pargana : On 29 November, 2021, alert jawans of South Bengal Frontier rescued 25 wild birds (pigeons) in separate incidents from the border area. Smugglers were trying to smuggle all these wild animals (pigeons) from Bangladesh to India.

On 29 November, 2021, alert troops of the South Bengal Frontier rescued 25 wild birds (pigeons) in the border area.  Smugglers were trying to smuggle all wild birds(Pegeons) from Bangladesh to India.

On 29 November, 2021, on specific information, all the troops of the Border Out Post Tarali, 112 Battalion were alerted by Coy Commander. Around 1045 hrs, a search operation was launched. During the search operation, BSF troops recovered a Box, from which 13 wild birds (pigeons) were recovered.

Apart from this, the troops of Border Out Post Dobila, 153 Battalion rescued 12 wild birds (pigeons) on the basis of specific information, which the smugglers were trying to smuggle from Bangladesh to India.

The rescued wild birds have been handed over to the concerned Customs Office for further legal action.
