Bangladeshi family living in India for many years apprehended by BSF in an attempt to cross international Boundary


Tirthankar Mukharjee, Kolkata : Border Security Force under South Bengal Frontier apprended five members of a Bangladeshi family for trying to cross International Boundary illegally in the border area of ​​Nadia district.

On of 27 August, 2021, Border Out Post Mahendra of 08 Battalion BSF on the basis of the information of the Intelligence Branch, took five people into custody in a special operation.

On investigetion it came out that the name of the arrested person is Mohammad Fardin (age 44 years), and his wife Ayesha (age 29 years), his two sons Mohammad Imran (age 10 years), Mohammad Irfan (age 07 years), and a daughter Afrin (age 05 years) is also together, who is a resident of Khulna under Sondanga police station of Khulna district of Bangladesh.

During questioning, Mohammad Fardin and his wife Ayesha revealed that they had moved to Loni, Ghaziabad, India in 2007 and used to work as garbage picker in Hazrat Nizamuddin, Delhi. Today they were going to Bangladesh due to Ayesha’s mother’s illness. He further revealed that they had given Rs 36000/- to an Indian tout named Ravi for cross international Boundary.

Apprehnded persons had been handed over to Police Station Hanskhali for further legal proceedings.

Sanjay Singh, Commanding Officer of 08 Battalion BSF stated that Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent cross border movement along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

Consequently the persons involved in such crimes are experiencing a lot of difficulty and some of them are being apprehended and punished according to the law.
