Amit Shah to Join PM Modi’s Cabinet, Reports

Staff Reporter, New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be sworn in this evening for a second straight term after his BJP’s incredible victory in the national election. His closest aide and long-time associate Amit Shah, the BJP president, will be in his cabinet, say reports.

Jitu Vaghani, Gujarat BJP chief, recently tweeted, “Had a courtesy meeting with our mentor Amit Shah and gave my best wishes to him on his inclusion as a strong member of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s council of ministers.”

Besides Amit Shah, PM Modi’s government will include Sushma Swaraj, Nirmala Sitharaman, Smriti Irani, Sadananda Gowda, Arjun Meghwal, Kiren Rijiju, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Piyush Goyal, Prakash Javadekar, Ramdas Athavale, Jitender Singh, Suresh Angadi, Babul Supriyo, Kailash Chowdhury, Prahlad Joshi and G Kishan Reddy.

Smriti Irani, the “kingslayer” after she defeated Congress president Rahul Gandhi in his family borough Amethi, is expected to be rewarded with a big ministry.
