নিম্নচাপের প্রভাবে দক্ষিণবঙ্গে বাড়বে বৃষ্টির প্রকোপ, প্রবল বৃষ্টিতে বন্যার আশঙ্কা উত্তরবঙ্গে !

পিয়ালী সিনহা, কলকাতা : বুধবার সকালে থেকেই আকাশের মুখ ভার হয়ে রয়েছে দক্ষিণবঙ্গে। আর উত্তরবঙ্গে দুর্যোগ চলছিলই, তা আরও বাড়ারবে বলে জানাল আলিপুর আবহাওয়া দফতর। যার জেরে বন্যা পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হতে পারে। আবহাওয়া দফতর জানিয়েছে, উত্তর-পূর্ব বঙ্গোপসাগরে নিম্নচাপ অবস্থান বদল করেছে।
তার প্রভাব পড়েছে দক্ষিণবঙ্গে। কলকাতা-সহ দুই ২৪ পরগনা, হাওড়া, হুগলি ও পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরে যার জেরে বৃষ্টি হচ্ছে মঙ্গলবার রাত থেকে। বুধবারও এই বৃষ্টি চলবে। এই নিম্নচাপ অক্ষরেখা ছত্তিশগড় পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত থাকায় রাঢ়বঙ্গেও বৃষ্টি হবে।
উত্তরের বৃষ্টির জেরে মানুষের ভোগান্তি বাড়বে বলে আশঙ্কা আলিপুর আবহাওয়া দফতরের পূর্বাভাসে। বৃষ্টির সঙ্গে দোসর হয়ে দেখা দেবে পাহাড়ে ধস। দার্জিলিং ও কালিম্পংয়ে ধস নামতে পারে। মহারাষ্ট্র থেকে পশ্চিমবঙ্গে হিমালয়ের পাদদেশ পর্যন্ত আরও একটি গভীর নিম্নচাপ রেখা অবস্থান করছে। বঙ্গোপসাগর থেকে বয়ে আসা জলকণা এসে দুর্যোগ ঘটাচ্ছে।
এর ফলে উত্তরবঙ্গের বিস্তীর্ণ জেলাজুড়ে ভারী বর্ষণের সতর্কতা জারি করেছে আবহাওয়া দফতর। এর ফলে নদীতে জলস্তর বেড়ে বন্যা পরিস্থিতির তৈরি করবে। আবহাওয়া দফতর জানিয়েছে বুধবার সকাল পর্যন্ত কোচবিহারে ৯০.৩ মিলিমিটার, দার্জিলিংয়ে ১০৪.২ মিলিমিটার।
জলপাইগুড়িতে ১৮০.২ মিলিমিটার, মালদহে ৫৫ মিলিমিটার, শিলিগুড়িতে ১৭৮ মিলিমিটার এবং কালিম্পংয়ে ৪৯ মিলিমিটার বৃষ্টি হয়েছে। এখনও ৭০ থেকে ২০০ মিলিমিটার পর্যন্ত বৃষ্টি হতে পারে।
